Physics is dynamic, exciting, and the perfect topic for a curious young mind! Join us this summer for a brand new program that will get students up and moving while working out their minds, as well.

Let’s start with prisms. They’re awesome, right? But what is light refraction? Students may experiment with hand-made prisms to create the greatest displays of colorful light possible.

Students may then explore the laws of motion using classic physics experiments. Have you heard of the egg drop experiment? How do you protect a raw egg from breaking when dropped from a great distance? Students may gather into teams to design and build their own contraptions. Whose egg will survive?!

How about building strong surfaces out of flimsy materials? Try to build a bridge that can withstand piles of books with no other tools – paper only. What is the scientific difference between a strong surface and a weak one?

Then comes circuitry, batteries, wires – it’s time to light up the room! Can you create a glowing object all on your own?

We’re excited to get hands-on this summer. Learning while moving is the way to go!
