Sports Medicine
Three-Week Summer Medicine Program
Turn your passion for sports into a rewarding, in-demand career! Where enthusiasm for athletics meets the power to make a real impact.
In this hands-on sports medicine course, you’ll get to explore the dynamic world of sports medicine, where science, movement, and passion for performance come together. Learn to tape an athlete’s ankle before a soccer match, analyze a runner’s stride to prevent knee injuries, practice CPR and emergency care on simulated patients, or design personalized strength and recovery programs for athletes.
Students will explore the phases of athletic injuries from the initial moment of impact and on-field assessment to treatment, rehabilitation, and full recovery. Through hands-on practice and case studies, they’ll learn how to evaluate injuries, apply immediate care techniques, develop effective rehab plans, and understand the body’s natural healing process, preparing them to support athletes through every step of their return to play.
Dive into the science behind why certain injuries are more common in specific sports like concussions in football, shoulder strains in baseball, or ACL tears in soccer and learn how to prevent them through proper training, conditioning, and technique. By analyzing sport-specific movements and risk factors, students will learn to design prevention programs, improve athletic performance, and keep athletes safe both on and off the field.

Student Comments
‘I really liked the information taught in the program and how each day we had a different objective for class (casts, mental health, anatomy, nutrition). I loved both of the teachers, they were really informative and interesting, and down to Earth.’
‘It was a very interesting class, and we were engaged throughout the whole class. It was very interactive with many physical activities to keep us entertained. There was always time for questions, so nothing was too confusing.’
‘I really liked the class, it was very engaging. The teachers balanced teaching with fun activities where we were able to put into action the things that we learned. I liked learning how to wrap injuries and how to diagnose a concussion, etc.’
‘I really enjoyed hearing from our guest this week who works as a PT. I got a lot of helpful information and learned about her personal experiences. I loved the instructors who showed great patience while teaching. Thank you guys, it was such a fun week!’
‘The program was a great way to expose myself to sports medicine to see if I was genuinely interested in the field. It was relieving to meet people who also had been injured before and wanted to become a PT. It was nice to relate to each others’ stories.’
