Dive into the terrifying, enchanting, mysterious world under the sea! In this program, we will explore a variety of topics related to all things under the sea. This program is perfect for students with an interest in marine biology as well as oceanography, eco-tourism, and marine conservation. 

Students will explore underwater topography and tectonic plates to provide insight into how natural disasters such as tsunamis and hurricanes occur. They will also explore how waves can form into riptides, rogue waves, and water spouts, causing dangerous conditions for swimmers and boats. 

Another unit will focus on predators of the sea such as sharks, killer whales, and even the mythical Kraken- which may have been a giant octopus. We will model these sometimes gigantic creatures and look at their special gifts. 

Then it’s into the abyss. Students will create simulations of what life is like as they plunge even deeper into the depths of the sea. What animals and plant life are found at different levels? We will also turn to the technology that opens up a window to underwater worlds, looking at the evolution and technology behind scuba gear and submarines.
