Get your feet wet in Marine Biology this summer!

This program is designed for rising 6th-rising 8th graders interested in exploring the world of underwater life.

This fun filled program will begin several weeks before students arrive in person. Students will be sent a sea monkey kit and will raise their own little critter at home, zooming in with the instructor and their new friends as their new pets grow and develop. After this first taste of marine life, students will join the program in person on Tuesday, July 6, following the Independence Day holiday.

First up on the agenda is setting up a saltwater aquarium. They will learn the intricacies of the water cooling system, designing the habitat and selecting the fish that will call this tank home. They will perform multiple tests of salinity and pH level and temperature.  Using saltwater fish, students will make Gyotaku prints.

NOTE: This one-week summer course is a day program only, and enrolled students are not eligible for residence on campus. Classes run from 9AM-3:30PM and extended day programs are available until 5PM at no additional charge
